The compact design as a planetary gear unit and a primary gearbox characterise the industrial gearboxes in our P series. They are used where systems require low rotational speeds and a high torque.

The XP series of industrial gear units are compactly designed planetary gear units. planetary gear units for very high torques. As solo gearboxes, they can be positioned separately from the motoring operation.

In many applications, such as in bulk material handling technology or in the environmental and recycling industry, drives with high torque and medium rotational speed are essential. SEW-EURODRIVE has the solution: a perfectly matched unit consisting of planetary gear units and standardised helical-bevel gear units.
Torques 100 - 500 kNm, gear ratio 160 - 560.
The load distribution over several planet gears results in a significantly higher power density and correspondingly smaller dimensions compared to other gearbox designs. The planetary gear units in the PPK series are therefore perfect for all heavy-duty applications where a robust design, high gear ratios and compactness are required.

Compact design, high thermal limit power:
The high torque density and the associated compact mounting position enable the planetary gear unit to be used in applications with limited installation space. There is also the option of a fan integrated into the motor interface for high thermal limit power.
