High torque, high thermal rating

If a compact and robust solution with high thermal limiting power is required, our planetary gear units from the P-X.e series are the perfect choice. These standardised and powerful industrial gear units consist of a combination of planetary gear units from the P series and helical bevel gear units from the proven X.e series of industrial gear units, with the advantage that all mounting and equipment options from the X.e series are available here.

In order to achieve the best possible thermal rating, we take a holistic approach to surface cooling in the P-X.e gearbox: On the one hand, the cooling fins on the primary gearbox housing significantly increase the surface area of the gear unit. Secondly, the radial fan in the motor adapter generates a strong air flow. This effectively cools the areas where the main heat is generated.

In addition, a special feature ensures even more cooling in the P-X.e gear unit. This is because the moulded intermediate flange on the primary gear unit connects both gear units, creating a shared oil chamber. This ensures optimum oil circulation between the two gear units. In this way, the excess residual heat is dissipated from the planetary gear unit by cooling oil.

The planetary gear unit in the P-X.e series thus combines all the advantages of two pioneering industrial gear unit worlds.
