DR..J synchronous motor (LSPM technology): The energy-efficient motor concept

The Line Start Permanent Magnet (LSPM) motor is an AC asynchronous motor that contains additional permanent magnets in the rotor with squirrel-cage rotor. After its asynchronous startup, the motor synchronises itself to the supply frequency and finally runs in synchronous mode. A motor technology that opens up new, flexible application possibilities in drive technology.

The synchronous motor has no rotor losses during operation and impresses with its particularly high efficiency and compact design. With the same efficiency class, the size of a DR..J synchronous motor with LSPM technology is reduced by 2 stages compared to a series motor with the same performance.

A comparative example:
A DRE.. series motor with a power rating of 1.1 kW in size 90M fulfils efficiency class IE2. In comparison, thanks to LSMP technology, you now "only" use a DRE..J of the smaller size 80S for IE2. Efficient and economical!
