Thanks to the aluminium housing, these right-angle gear units true lightweights. And thanks to the special gearing and lubrication for life, they require very little maintenance. Just right for long and reliable operation. The SPIROPLAN®-right-angle gear units are suitable for almost all drive tasks thanks to the many design variants.
Only half the solution without a motor? Then use our modular system and combine the gear units from the W series with an AC motor to create a SPIROPLAN® W..DR. gearmotor. or with a servomotor to create a W..CMP.. servo SPIROPLAN® right-angle gearmotor. of your choice. Or you can simply select the separate motor suitable for your requirements. AC motor to suit your requirements or servomotor.
Our development engineers have set a new standard with the W..9 gear units. The objectives of the new development were high efficiency, low noise and low weight.
At the same time, a wide range of design variants and a large transmission ratio range should enable a wide variety of applications.
With the new High Gear Ratio (HG) design, even more flexibility is possible, especially with large gear ratios and very slow speed ranges.
What do you get out of it?
Thanks to new calculation methods, which have been qualified and confirmed in extensive and very intensive test procedures, as well as new lubricants, we can offer you more torque for our small right-angle gear units from the SPIROPLAN®-series can offer you higher approval torques. Our sizes W..10, W..20 and W..30 benefit from the increased torques, especially in the small transmission ratio range. The torque increases range from +4 % to +115 % (see also TD in the tables below).
In addition to lubricating the gearing, gear oils play a significant role in heat dissipation in gear units. Our lubricants in the GearOil by SEW-EURODRIVE range increase the performance of gear units by reducing friction in the gearing and improving heat dissipation. Our GearOil by SEW-EURODRIVE forms a very good lubricating film on the gears, which extends the service life of the lubricant itself as well as the wear parts such as sealing rings or storage.
With the increased torques, you can make a leap in size downwards in the best case, as you can now achieve higher torques in a smaller space or or, if you cannot vary the gearbox size, you have greater safety/reserves in your drive.
Of course, the increase in torque does not change any other factors. Our SPIROPLAN®-right-angle gearmotors become even more efficient while remaining as quiet as you know them. In combination with our new, small DRN.. motors (DRN63, DRN71 and DRN80), you can easily and cost-effectively achieve energy efficiency class IE3. Our right-angle gearmotors are true all-rounders.
