Standard gearmotors

In the manufacturing processes and production facilities of many industries as well as in logistics, the gearmotors are an integral part of SEW-EURODRIVE's standard portfolio. They impress with their robustness and reliability in every application scenario. We offer 5 basic designs, which are available in many sizes and can be combined with our asynchronous AC motors. Depending on the number of gear ratios, torques of up to 50,000 Nm can be realised.

Parallel shaft gearboxes

• Helical gearmotors R..DR.. belong to the class of parallel shaft gearboxes. They are particularly suitable for conveying medium-heavy loads and work reliably even in tough long-term operation. In the single-stage design, they offer torques from 69 to 830 Nm. In the multi-stage mounting position, the spectrum ranges from 50 to 18,000 Nm.
• Flat gearmotors F..DR.. are also parallel shaft gearboxes. Here, however, the input shaft and output shaft are arranged one below the other. These gearmotors are therefore particularly slim and offer optimum conditions for space-saving installation. space-saving installation. Similar to helical gearmotors, they are ideal for moving medium-heavy loads in tough long-term operation. With a power rating of up to 200 kW, our F..DR.. helical gearmotors also cover a large torque range between 130 and 18,000 Nm.

Right-angle gear units

• K..DR.. helical-bevel gearmotors belong to the right-angle gear units. Thanks to bevel gearing and a right-angled power flow, they enable a high level of performance, especially in the three-stage series K..37 to K..187 torque of up to 50,000 Nm. They are ideal for moving heavy loads with long engagement times.
  
  The two-stage helical-bevel gearmotor series K..19 to K..49 series with its hypoid gearing - a modification of bevel gearing - is the energy-efficient counterpart for the lower torque range up to 500 Nm. The task of motors in this series is to move light loads with long duty cycles.
• Worm gearmotors S..DR.. also belong to the right-angle gear units and are always in demand when it comes to the most cost-effective solution for simple applications, low loadslow loads and short switch-on times. Depending on the gearbox size, the worm gearmotors can achieve maximum torques of up to 4,000 Nm.
• SPIROPLAN® right-angle gearmotors W..DR.. are equipped with particularly wear-free gearing. The SPIROPLAN® gearing is a proprietary development from SEW-EURODRIVE and ensures a low-vibration drive. Thanks to small gear ratios, this type of geared motor moves small loads with high motor power and speed. The aluminium housing also makes the SPIROPLAN® gearmotors lightweight.
