MOVITRAC® classic reliably controls and monitors sensorless asynchronous and synchronous motors, requires little space in the control cabinet and is flexible and open for different control systems thanks to its pluggable gateways. You can choose to connect the inverter via PROFINET, EtherNet/IPTMEtherCAT®/SBusPLUS or TCP mode. You can also configure the functional safety as required - either without the safety function or with the STO safety function.
MOVITRAC® classic is ideal for conveyor and motion applications, such as conveyor belts or vertical drives, where closed-loop control of the motors is also possible without encoders. An interesting, economical alternative that also saves on cables and thus reduces costs by dispensing with an encoder.
Which products can the MOVITRAC® classic inverter be combined with?
With almost all components from the SEW-EURODRIVE modular system - you are sure to find the right solution for your application! Combine the inverter with standard or servo gearmotors, e.g. new in the programme: synchronous servomotors from the CM3C series. Or simply select a suitable decentralised drive for your requirements.

There are different control units with different functionalities are available.
The CDM11A diagnostic module forms the interface to the MOVISUITE® engineering software. The module also contains two 7-segment displays to show the device status. The module is also required to use the CBG11A, CBG21A and CBG22A control units.
Substructure plates for size 0S and 0L incl. pre-mounted braking resistor - for space-saving mounting of braking resistors under the inverter. Shield plate extension - for space-saving mounting of e.g. SEW brake rectifiers or marshalling terminals.
The CFX11A-... gateways enable the inverter to be connected to higher-level automation, dimensioning and visualisation systems. When using the gateway, you can communicate directly with the devices via industrial communication. 7 additional inverters can be connected to the gateway using the CFC11A communication module.
Certifications/conformity
Depending on the country, the use of drive electronics is subject to different functional and/or product-related requirements. For example, certain product labelling requirements must be met when importing goods. MOVITRAC® classic inverters have the required national product labelling - you can find the details on our "International regulations" website.
