The right type of MOVI-C® CONTROLLER for your application depends on the number of inverters and the number of clock-synchronised axes and auxiliary axes required for the movement and to be configured. The four performance classes "power", "progressive", "advanced" and "standard" are available to choose from. All are of course compact in design so that they also fit into small machine control cabinets.
All open-loop controls are multibus-capable: they can be used in parallel as EtherCAT®-/SBusPLUS-master as well as a PROFINET IO device or EtherNet/IPTM-adapter. Modern safety concepts, such as safety via fieldbus, are implemented either via PROFIsafe routing or via FSoE safety controllers (such as the SCU safety controller tested by SEW-EURODRIVE).
NEW: The UHX65A-M is equipped with a PROFINET I/O controller or an EtherNet/IPTM-scanner functionality is integrated parallel to the EtherCAT® system bus. With the new variant, our customers can implement mixed topologies: the high-performance EtherCAT® fieldbus for the most demanding motion control tasks and at the same time the PROFINET IO / EtherNet/IPTM-fieldbus for reading sensors and controlling other periphery devices. This gives every customer greater flexibility and choice of hardware for complex applications.

The MOVI-C® modular automation system offers a common platform for control cabinet controllers and decentralised controllers with the same functionalities and the same variety of interfaces. The controllers from the MOVI-C® modular automation system can be used for a wide range of motion control or automation tasks and are classically connected via fieldbus slave interfaces for the PROFINET, EtherNet/IPTM or Modbus TCP to the higher-level open-loop control of a machine cell or system. As EtherCAT®/SBusPLUSmaster, the controller ensures smooth communication with the lower-level devices, such as MOVIDRIVE® or MOVIGEAR® performance and their clock-synchronised connection to the movement/application.
However, the decisive added value for reducing complexity is provided by the integrated software of the central and decentralised controllers: parameterizing instead of programming. For you as a user, this software means more scope for parameterisation and less programming effort.
Simple centralised data storage and the auto-reload function for replacement are further advantages of our control technology. This allows you to keep the reliability and availability of the automation technology in your production constantly at a very high level.
