We have expanded our CM3... servomotor modular design for you. From 2025, two motor variants will now be available to you. Both motor types are characterised by high power density, compactness and precision. The difference lies in the load to be moved, for which the motors are optimized. Discover your optimum solution in the modular servomotor range.
The motor type CM3C.. (Medium Inertia) motor type has increased inertia and therefore enables high external loads to be moved safely, quickly and reliably. In combination with the optional BZ.. safety brake with increased working capacity, it is the ideal solution for hoist applications in particular.
New in the modular design is the motor type CM3P... (High Dynamic) with outstanding dynamics for the shortest cycle times. High power density and maximum acceleration values are the hallmarks of this type. Thanks to minimal inertia and high overload capacity, the shortest cycle times can be realised, thus increasing the efficiency of your machine.
Both motor variants can be combined modularly and individually with all gear unit designs from SEW-EURODRIVE. In addition, both motor types can be expanded with the same accessories and options from the modular design. This means that you also have a highly flexible modular design for synchronous servomotors, from which you can find the right servomotor in the required design for almost any dynamic application.
The synchronous servomotors look the same on the outside, but a revolutionary change is hidden inside. Thanks to the latest winding and magnet technology, the dimensions remain identical, but two different motor variants are created. This allows you to choose the right drive with the same motor geometry, regardless of whether dynamics or high loads are required.
Detailed technical information on the two motor versions:
MOVIKIT® are ready-made software modules that are used to solve everything from simple drive functions to sophisticated motion control functions. Our objective - your added value: to significantly reduce start-up times by providing configurable automation and motion control functions.
Digital motoring operation and data integration is possible thanks to the MOVILINK® DDI digital interface. This is based on single-cable technology. Our motors and inverters from the MOVI-C® modular automation system actually only require one hybrid cable for power supply and data transmission. The hybrid cable supplies the motor with current and MOVILINK® DDI, a digital encoder, transmits all the necessary power, brake and diagnostic data between the inverter and motor. This saves you time and money during installation and startup.
The two motor versions in the CM3... series are also available with a safety brake and safety encoder on request. These can be integrated into the servomotor individually or in combination.
The following safety functions can be realised with the safety brake:
The safety encoders can be used to realise safety functions relating to rotational speed, direction of rotation, idle state and relative position, e.g. SS1, SS2, SOS, SLA, SLS, SDI and SLI in accordance with IEC 61800 5-2.
Depending on the country, the use of drive technology and drive electronics is subject to different functional and/or product-related requirements. When importing goods, for example, certain product labelling requirements must be met. Both "Medium Inertia" and "High Dynamic" synchronous servomotors have the required national product labelling.
