From engineering to service - your added value for heavy industry

When manufacturers of systems in heavy industry such as the construction industry, mining or cement works ask for industrial gearboxes, they are rarely looking for individual components. In the vast majority of cases, our customers focus on customised solutions that enable them to equip their systems quickly and reliably and get them rotating dependably. This is why we at SEW-EURODRIVE see ourselves as problem solvers for the entire "drive technology" package - and have been doing so for over 80 years.

It is a great advantage for our customers that we can offer a fully comprehensive drive technology portfolio from a single source like no other supplier on the market. We not only draw on our comprehensive expertise in mechanical, electrical and electronic drive technology for your in-house solutions. We also offer the associated expertise in control technology, engineering tools and plant software on the one hand and machine safety and energy efficiency on the other.

We are always at your side - as a competent and reliable partner

This applies from the initial planning and dimensioning through to the startup and maintenance of the industrial gearbox solution in your plant. Accordingly, we offer you

  • compact drive packages and customised complete industrial gearbox systems.
  • technically skilled advice from application specialists with many years of experience.
  • Order-specific engineering of the drive solution, including integration into your system.
  • Rapid availability of stocked components in the local area thanks to our global production network.
  • an experienced service with a local presence worldwide for quick accessibility and competent help on site.

Your consulting network

When our customers in heavy industry require industrial gear units, the majority of projects are engineered to order (ETO) and assembled to order (ATO). Orders without a design component are - in line with the complex systems - in the minority. For us, problem solving therefore begins in the sales department. And since such projects often have an international character, our technically skilled consultants, who have many years of experience as industry specialists, offer local application support at your site - even across borders.

Your engineering network

Our engineering services range from the order-specific design of a drive package to the specific dimensioning of the integration of a solution or, at the customer's request, the planning of a complete system. Co-engineering is our top priority. We are not interested in quick, short-term solutions, but in developing long-term strategies for our customers' applications together with them.

We network the knowledge we gather in the process in-house. To this end, we work together in-house in our own cross-product specialist groups, e.g. on the subject of tribology etc.. In this way, we are constantly developing and learning from each other. This means many years of accumulated and interdisciplinary expertise, which we can draw on for the benefit of the customer with every new order - for new customised and tailor-made solutions.

Your production network

As a global manufacturer of drive technology and drive automation, we are at home on 5 continents with our modern and efficient production and assembly plants. And therefore always close to you or your end customers. A close-knit international network that provides you with experts for local application support as well as stocked components for rapid on-site replacement.
