Long-lasting drives thanks to effective protective measures

Our gear units and motors not only offer standard protection against the usual corrosive influences in industrial environments such as moisture, oils, dirt or chemicals. Additional treatments and special materials enable them to be used even under extreme conditions. Use our drives in atmospheres with low humidity or contamination through to environments with regular acidic and alkaline wet cleaning.

Our surface protection ranges from standard to OS1* to OS3*, with the ASPETICplus® drive package, OS4* is set as standard.

The XCO®-drive package goes even further. The innovative tin-nickel surface protection prevents paint from chipping and and offers a stainless steel-like appearance. This XCO®-surface protection is the essential component of the XCO®-drive package. In addition, the XCO®-drive package also includes stainless steel screws, IS plugs, motors with degree of protection IP69K, etc.

You can not only equip our standard components with optional protective measures. Ouraseptic motoring operations of the DAS. series. are available with the drive packages XCO® and ASEPTICplus® are optimised for sensitive hygienic production areas. And with our stainless steel gearboxes from the RES.. and KES.. series. the quotation of products for cleaning-intensive areas is complete. The acid and alkali-resistant surface made of high-quality stainless steel is easy to clean and has a long service life.


XCO®-drive package

In our XCO®-drive package (eXtreme Corrosion Option), we offer surface protection that protects drives and your products even under extreme ambient conditions, especially for applications in the food and beverage industry.

With XCO® is an innovative tin-nickel surface protection that is highly resistant to corrosion and is also food-safe. The surface protection is scratch-resistant and has a hardness of 645 HV. No more chipped paint!

XCO®-drive package (eXtreme Corrosion Option): The alternative to stainless steel.

  • Innovative tin-nickel surface protection XCO with a stainless steel-like appearance
  • XCO®-surface protection of the motor housing; for the hygienically optimised gearmotor, we naturally also supply the matching gear unit with XCO surface protection

  • The flange contact surfaces and shaft ends are treated with a temporary rust preventive.

Instead of standard surface protection, the motors and gear units are optionally available with OS1, OS2, OS3 or OS4 surface protection. This means that the gearmotors are well equipped for use in different ambient conditions.

In addition, you can select the special measure "Z". This means that large contour recesses are injected with rubber before painting.
