DeviceNetTM

CANopen

CAN technology, which was developed for communication in mobile applications, is also used in automation. The CANopen communication protocol was developed and standardised for this purpose.

INTERBUS

was widely used in the automotive industry, for example, and has since been replaced by other technologies. Depending on the application, it was not only transmitted via the communication medium copper, but also via fiber optic cable. In some cases, it is still used in existing plant components.
