Closed loop system with encoder
With the ELSM/PMVC control modes, synchronous motors without encoders can be operated in a closed loop system. However, it is still possible to configure an additional encoder as a built-in encoder in the motor, which you can then use to enter position information for controlling the application. This additional encoder is not used to control the motor. When selecting "closed loop system with encoder", precise control of the motor is possible, even at low speeds, as well as precise positioning.
